We are hiring a Research Associate/Research Fellow in power systems to conduct research on energy management, electricity markets, renewable energy, smart grids and microgrids. The Research Associate/Research Fellow is also expected to support teaching activities as required by the school.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on power systems topics such as energy management, electricity markets, renewable energy, smart grids and microgrids.

  • Publish in top quality journals and conferences.

  • Prepare report and conduct presentation at seminars.

  • Assist the school in various teaching activities, including instructing or supervision of labs and tutorials

 

Job Requirements:

  • MSc/MEng (Research Associate) or PhD (Research Fellow) in Electrical Engineering or related fields.

  • Expertise in electrical power systems.

  • Experience in energy management, smart grids and microgrids.

  • Proficient in MATLAB, LabVIEW, or similar programming languages.

  • Experience in power systems simulation software packages such as MATLAB/Simulink or OPAL-RT.

  • Strong analytical and conceptual abilities.

  • Able to publish top quality conference/journal papers.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.
