Faculty Position in Business and Engineering (Non-Tenure Track - Dual-Appointment)
Penn State Behrend invites applications for a Non-Tenure Track Faculty Position to teach in the College's interdisciplinary programs in business and engineering beginning August 2017. Primary appointment will be either in the Black School of Business or the School of Engineering. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for outstanding teaching and must be a team player with the interest and ability to work across both disciplines. Qualified candidates must have professional or educational backgrounds that are both business and engineering related. The candidate must also have at least a master's degree in engineering, business, or a closely-related field. Preferred candidates should also have industry experience in new product development, quality management, operations strategy, and/or manufacturing. Candidates with a Ph.D. or DBA in Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, or a closely related field are strongly encouraged to apply.
This position will involve teaching and advising in the College's distinctive B.S. in Interdisciplinary Business with Engineering Studies (IBE) and Master of Manufacturing Management (MMM) degree programs as well as involvement in capstone projects in these programs. The candidate may also be expected to teach other courses in business or engineering related to their background.
