Multiple Faculty Positions
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
University of Rochester

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Rochester is undertaking a multi-year expansion of its faculty to support its growing research and educational programs in multiple areas. The department invites applications for tenure-track Faculty positions in all areas of electrical and computer engineering. We are particularly interested in candidates who can have an impact on the following areas:

Cyber-physical systems: applications including but not limited to the Internet of things (IoT) and robotics. We are particularly interested in candidates who are experts in one or more of the following core areas: embedded systems and hardware; real-time systems; and modern optimization and control techniques.

Image and Video signal processing: including algorithms and systems for processing and analyzing biological and medical images, applications of the methods of data science to image and video analysis and understanding, computational imaging, multimedia signal processing, new display technologies, and multi-modal human-computer interfaces.

VLSI Circuit Design: impact in the following areas: 1) high performance integrated circuits; 2) emerging circuit technologies; 3) non-von Neumann circuits and architectures; 4) deeply scaled and beyond CMOS circuit design, including analysis and automation.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in an appropriate field by the time their Faculty appointment begins. Applications at all levels will be considered; salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
