The Department of Engineering Technology at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a Lecturer of Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) to begin in Fall 2025. This is an annual 10-month non-tenure-track appointment will begin July 25, 2025. The department is committed to recruiting, supporting, and fostering a diverse community of outstanding faculty, undergraduate students, and staff.
The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows:
- Teach undergraduate courses in the Electrical Engineering Technology program, both on campus and through distance education through ODU Global, in areas such as DC and AC circuits, electronic devices and circuits, digital electronics, linear electronics, microprocessors, programming, electric power, and programmable logic controllers.
- Contribute to systematic planning and development of the electrical engineering technology program.
- Participate in the professional and intellectual community through professional and university service and outreach activities within the college and department.
- Advise senior design capstone projects within their area of expertise.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) among students, faculty, and staff.
