Full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Engineering to begin August 2017 at the University of South Carolina Aiken. Exceptional candidates will be eager to help implement the new B.S. degree in Industrial Process Engineering and will hold a Ph.D. in Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering with specializations relevant to traditional or emerging areas. The person selected will pursue excellence in teaching lecture and laboratory courses throughout the undergraduate curriculum, and participate in campus, departmental and professional service. Scholarship/consulting is also expected at a level appropriate for an undergraduate institution-ideally to include undergraduate students. Housed in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, this new program enjoys wide-ranging support from local industries and is preparing for initial ABET accreditation.
