Work description

The grantee will receive brief initial training on the necessary concepts of Cell Biology and Proteomics. A brief introduction to Deep Learning for the analysis of electron microscopy films and images will be provided.

The grantee's experience in Machine Learning/Data Mining will be updated with new algorithms suitable for the analysis required by specialists. Work on the analysis of electron microscope films and images. Work on the analysis of available proteomic data.

 

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Informatics and Computing Engineering.

 

Minimum profile required

  • Knowledgeable in Python and C+p programming.
  • Knowledgeable in Data Bases technology.
  • Skills in programming for the Web

 

Preference factors

  • High proficiency in Python and C++ programming.

 

Maintenance stipend: € 651.12, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.

 

INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".

 

The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
