During the 2016-2017 academic year, the University of Indianapolis (UIndy) launched innovative and systems-based design-centric engineering programs in the high-demand fields of industrial and systems engineering, mechanical engineering, and software engineering. The programs in the R.B. Annis School of Engineering have a strong liberal arts core and focus on four principles: creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and social responsibility.

Another hallmark of the engineering programs is the DesignSpine, which provides students with interdisciplinary system-based design experiences throughout their entire academic tenure by solving challenges from external stakeholders. The R.B. Annis School of Engineering is seeking a candidate, for the software engineering program, whose experience has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion. The position is tenure-track at the rank of assistant professor and on a nine-month contract with an expected start date of August 2018.

In order to be considered, applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in Software Engineering, or an equivalent degree by the time of appointment.
