Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. It performs translational research that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment. ERI@N has multiple Interdisciplinary Research Programmes which focus on translational Research, Development & Deployment which focus on specific area of the energy value chain, and a number of Living labs and Testbeds which facilitate large scale technology deployment enabling validation and demonstration of real-world applications.

 

The TCS-NTU GoZero Hub is a collaborative innovation platform between Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), focusing on sustainable solutions and net-zero goals. The hub leverages cutting-edge research, industry expertise, and emerging technologies to co-create solutions for a greener, cleaner future.

We are looking for a Project Manager to carry out the GoZero hub’s activities, plan & conduct the programmatic initiatives, and implement the projects under the Hub. The role will focus on project lifecycles, coordination among academia, industry stakeholders, and internal teams, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact sustainability initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, Lead end-to-end management of research and innovation projects under the GoZero Hub.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including researchers, developers, industry partners, and NTU faculty.

  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with the hub's sustainability objectives.

  • Develop detailed project plans and manage execution, risk, quality, and stakeholder communication.

  • Monitor and report on project progress, budgets, and milestones to both TCS and NTU leadership.

  • Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and scalability within ongoing projects.

  • Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and review meetings with stakeholders.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in domain discipline or related field

  • At least 8 years for Bachelor’s degree or 4 years for Master’s degree of relevant experiences in similar role / technical hands-on experience preferably in innovation, R&D

  • Familiarity with sustainability & energy domains (e.g. national codes and standards)

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Proficiency in hard skills / job-specific abilities acquired through training e.g. specific programming languages, numeric and analytical skill

  • Competent in soft skills / general personality traits e.g. information visualization, interaction design

  • Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills.

  • Experience working in an academic-industry collaborative environment is a plus.
