Job Description Summary
The School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS) at Oakland University seeks to fill a visiting faculty position in engineering technology starting August 15, 2025. The person who fills this position will be tasked to create a proposal for a new Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and carry it through the university’s governance for approval with departmental assistance. The new B.S. in Engineering Technology program aims to achieve it in 90 credits (Higher Learning Commission created guidelines and an application process for reduced-credit bachelor’s programs) and attain ABET-accreditation. The ideal candidate will have familiarity and/or experience with engineering technology programs, community colleges, universities, faculty governance procedures, and excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have earned at least an M.S. degree in engineering technology, engineering, or related field.
