The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) Department in the College of Engineering at The University of Toledo (UT) invites applications for a twelve-month, non-tenure track visiting assistant professor position with an expected start date of January 2018 (or August 2018 if mutually agreed upon). Candidates are sought with broad interest in teaching courses spanning electrical engineering, computer engineering, and computer science (e.g. Basic Circuits, Electromagnetics, Electronic Circuits, Embedded Systems, Feedback Control, Object Oriented Programming such as C++ and Java, and PLCs). Reasonable expertise and interest in curriculum development and familiarity with state-of-the-art instructional lab equipment is an advantage.

An earned Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or in a closely related field is required. The successful candidate will be expected to (i) Teach effectively at the undergraduate level; (ii) Work under the direction of the EECS Chair on curriculum development, instructional lab enhancement, and other high-impact service activities; and (iii) Advise senior design teams. It is possible that the candidate will also collaborate with EECS faculty on grant proposals and engage in scholarly research.
