Applications are invited from outstanding individuals for two tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of British Columbia (UBC) Vancouver. The Department will hire up to two individuals, one from each of the following two sub-disciplines: Project and Construction Management, and Structural Engineering. The anticipated start date for the positions is July 1, 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidates must provide evidence of demonstrated excellence in and commitment to research and teaching. They will have a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, and will be expected to develop a strong, externally funded research program, to contribute to high quality undergraduate and graduate teaching and effective supervision of graduate students and to participate in service activities at the Department level and beyond. The successful candidates will also be expected to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (see
