All outstanding candidates possessing a strong background in fundamental science and engineering relevant to aerospace engineering will be considered, as at least one position is anticipated.

The College of Engineering is undergoing a period of substantial growth in both physical infrastructure and research expenditures as it seeks to become a Top-25 ranked Public Institution. The Department currently has 34 tenure track faculty and enrolls some 1,267 undergraduate and 194 graduate students. Departmental research expenditures are currently at >$10M per year. Extensive opportunities for collaborative research exist at UTK and the surrounding region (UTSI, ORNL, AEDC, AMDEC, NASA-Marshall).
