Work description
- Study the current process of collecting building consumption data from INESC TEC obtained from the WITHUS meters, identifying where the meters are installed and how communication is made.
- Update or develop a new data collection process for the new meters, aiming to improve possible issues with the existing script.
- Develop intuitive dashboards for presenting consumption data and displaying it in a browser environment.
- Integrate the data into the building’s technical management system.
- Prepare a technical report: -Study the functionalities of the Daikin heat pump and how to communicate with it through a DCOM adapter connected to a Moxa gateway.
- Prepare a technical report on how to interact with the heat pump system and gateway, specifying their capabilities and how to retrieve and send information.
- Develop scripts to establish communication with the system, collect information, and send setpoints to control the heat pump’s operation based on user needs.
Academic Qualifications
- Electrotechnical Engineering, Telecomunications and Informatics Engineering, or similar
Minimum profile required
- Knowledge in one programming language.
- Basic knowledge in data analysis, ICT and IoT.
Preference factors
- Experience in Python, SQL, Modbus and Grafana.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
Maintenance stipend: € 1040.98, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
