The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Coulter School of Engineering at Clarkson University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position. Applications will be considered at the ranks of assistant and associate professor. The ECE department currently has 18 tenure track faculty, undergraduate degree programs in electrical, computer, and software engineering, and a graduate program that supports M.S., M. Eng. and Ph.D. degrees. We prefer candidates whose research is synergistic with current department and university research activities and centers.
Successful candidates are expected to actively develop sponsored research and become excellent teachers. Strong candidates are sought in all areas of computer and software engineering, which include, but are not limited to, embedded systems and controls, robotics, systems software, computer architectures, cyber-physical systems, cyber security, big data, complex systems, communications and information theory. Applicants must have a potential for excellence in teaching, with preference to candidates who can teach a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas listed above.
In addition to a CV, candidates should provide a separate statement on their research, detailing how interactions with current ECE faculty endeavors would augment our existing areas of strength, and a statement of their teaching experience and philosophy.
