MS-PhD/PhD research assistant positions are available to work in Haptic Engineering Research Lab (https://sites.google.com/site/inuherl515/) at Incheon National University (INU), Incheon, South Korea.
We are particularly interested in candidates in the following areas:
- Haptic assisted skin imaging system for diagnosis (Biomedical applications)
- Real-time haptic feedback for mobile touchscreens (User interface)
- Tele-robot control with haptic sensing and feedback (Rehabilitative robotics)
- Augmented reality with haptics (Augmented touch feedback)
- Real-time 3D visual and haptic rendering with 3D models (Touch interactive rendering)
- Brain Computer Interface with haptic sensing and feedback (Brain signal based control)
- Perception study for vision and touch interactions (psychophysics)
The graduate research assistantship includes a monthly stipend and full tuition waiver only if a candidate meets the following requirements.
Degree requirement: BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Skill requirements: strong C/C++ programming skills, digital signal/image processing, knowledge in mathematics and physics, machine learning (plus), embedded programming with microcontrollers (plus), basic circuit theory (plus), robot control (plus), computer graphics (super plus), computer vision (plus), virtual reality (plus), journal paper writing in English (plus),
English requirement: iBT 88 or IELTS 6.5
GPA requirement: 3.5/4.5
