    Open Rank Teaching Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics


    The Department of Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics (MEM) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track teaching faculty position in Mechanical Engineering starting August 2024. Lehigh has multiple ranks for teaching faculty, and the successful candidate will be hired into a rank commensurate with their experience. Candidates must hold a graduate degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related field before starting employment.


    The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach core courses in statics, dynamics, strength of materials, design, manufacturing, thermal sciences, and elective courses in their areas of interest. Teaching faculty may also advise undergraduate students and participate in departmental service. The successful candidate will create opportunities for broadening participation and support an inclusive and equitable environment in which a diverse student body can thrive.
