TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION in CHEMICAL and PETROLEUM ENGINEERING
The University of Wyoming’s College of Engineering and Applied Science invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in its Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department.
The position focuses broadly on catalysis in chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics and transport processes.
Applicants at the rank of Associate or Full Professor ranks are especially sought, though applicants at the Assistant Professor rank will be considered.
Competitive salary and start-up package are offered.
The position requires catalysis expertise at the Ph.D. level in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, developing and conducting productive disciplinary and interdisciplinary research, as well as providing leadership on campus for catalysis-related research.
Teaching duties are commensurate with maintenance of an active research program.
The Department, one of six in the College, offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering and seeks to further strengthen its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The position will be jointly appointed with the University’s School of Energy Resources (SER), an ambitious, state-funded program, designed to address pressing state and national issues surrounding energy development. SER facilitates and supports research, teaching and outreach activities in energy-related science and technology.
