A post doctoral researcher position is open for immediate hiring in the area of "Information Theoretic Approaches to Wireless Cognitive Radio Channels" at Qatar University in Collaboration with Ohio State University and Princeton University. The project duration is 3 years. The contract is renewed on a yearly basis.
The position will involve information theoretic modeling, simulation, development of new algorithms. It will provide a good chance for interaction with academic institutions in Qatar and the US, interaction with industry, and grant-writing. It is therefore important that the candidate can demonstrate most of the following:
• Strong background in information theory, wireless communications theory, programming skills
• Strong knowledge of mathematical modeling, simulation, and novel algorithm development
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Very good critical thinking and reasoning
• Self motivation, ability to work independently and a desire to experiment and explore
• Ability to work in a team of diverse backgrounds and cultures
• Solid publication record in top academic conferences and/or journals
