We are looking for candidates to either:
(i) Synthesize functional 1D nanomaterials, via vapor-based or liquid-based assembly techniques and explore their MEMS-related applications
or:
(ii) Synthesize and characterize polymer materials and process 1D nanomaterial-polymer hybrid structures and characterize their properties.
Candidates should have Ph.D. Degrees in relevant fields, such as Chemistry, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Physics and Materials Science and Engineering, with one or more of the following skills preferred:
1. 1D nanomaterial growth; 2. polymer synthesis, processing (thin film self-assembly) and characterization; 3. MEMS device fabrication and characterization; 4. optical, electrical or piezoelectrical characterization.
