Established in 1981, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and strong tradition in research.
To support teaching and cutting-edge research, EEE is host to 11 advanced research centres and more than 60 laboratories which are well-equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.
The school comprises six divisions, namely Division of Power Engineering, Division of Circuits & Systems, Division of Information Engineering, Division of Control & Instrumentation, Division of Communication Engineering and Division of Microelectronics.
With about 200 faculty members and an enrollment of around 5,000 of which 1,500 are graduate students, it is one of the largest EEE schools in the world.

Job Requirements
Ast/Prof. Qijie Wang (http://www.ntu.edu.sg/eee/eee6/cv/qiwang.html) is looking for motivated project officer/research associate to work on the device processing (fabrication) of semiconductor lasers (GaAs-based and InP-based material systems).
Candidates with a bachelor degree (for the project officer position) or a master degree (for the research associate position) in electronic engineering, and physics/ applied physics are all encouraged to apply. Strong experience in cleanroom device processing is required. Hands-on experience with photolithography, wet etching, dry RIE etching, PECVD, evaporation, sputtering, and metallization are highly desired. Candidates with previous experience on semiconductor laser design/fabrications will be specially considered. Starting date is flexible (prefer ASAP).
Entry level and starting salaries will depend on candidate's qualification and experience.
