UWS Research Lectureship -- Engineering & Technology, School of Engineering
The UWS Research Lectureship is a three year contract position, with provision for conversion to an ongoing, normal teaching and research position, at the end of three years, subject to evidence of strong research and teaching performance. The UWS Research Lectureship will enable an early career researcher to concentrate on the development of his/her research potential. The appointee will be expected to teach only one-third of a normal teaching load during the three year contract and will be provided with research support and support to develop teaching skills and materials.
Demonstrated record of achievement and a high quality research output is the primary criterion. Applicants must have completed research doctorates within the last five years.
Preference will be given to applications where the research relates to:
Digital Architecture and Design Computing
Building Information Modeling
Digital Ecosystems
Energy and Power
Networked and Distributed Systems
Embedded Intelligent Systems
Research Context:
Depending on the area of expertise, the appointee will be located in the School of Engineering or the School of Computing and Mathematics and will work closely with researchers across the College, particularly in the Civionics Research Centre.
Teaching Context:
Depending on the area of expertise, the appointee will be expected to participate in teaching in the Undergraduate and Honours Programs in Construction Management, Industrial Design, Engineering and Information Technology and provide supervision of Ph.D. Students in relevant areas.
Remuneration Package: Academic Level B AUD$88,749 to AUD$104,726 p.a.(comprising Salary Academic Level B AUD$74,994 to AUD$88,556 p.a., 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
