Postdoctoral Research Fellow -- Structural Engineering
Remuneration Package: Academic Level A AU$63,073 to AU$84,467 p.a. (Comprising salary, 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
Postdoctoral Fellows are the future generation of researchers. Postdoctoral fellows provide substantial input into research programs within UWS, with a particular emphasis on supporting and developing collaborative links and research funding.
The position conducts high level independent research under a structured Research Program, relating to ARC Discovery and Linkage projects held within the School of Engineering and Civionics Research Centre.
The responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Fellow include:
• Actively participate in preparing applications for research funding, particularly for major external research grants, such as those funded by the Australian Research Council and other Australian Competitive Grants, as well as industry and other public sector funding.
• Contribute to the School of Engineering, by actively collaborating with industry and sectoral partners on contract research and related intellectual property development.
• Participation in collaborative work with members of the School of Engineering in the field of Structural Engineering.
• Prepare refereed publications based on this research and other related projects.
• Prepare and present conference papers at national and international conferences, highlighting this research and other related projects.
• Participate in postgraduate research supervision, where appropriate.
