Penn State, Erie -- The Behrend College, invites applications for a Tenure-track Position in the Mechanical Engineering Technology Program, starting Fall 2010.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to teaching Undergraduate Engineering courses, the ability to develop a sustainable research program, to engage in applied research and scholarly activity and serve on University and Department committees.
Expected teaching focus for this position is in Solid Mechanics, Machine Design and/or Manufacturing. Strongest consideration will be given to those candidates with backgrounds and experience in these areas; additional background in CAD/Solid Modeling or the Thermal-fluid Sciences is desirable.
Salary is competitive.
A Master’s or Ph.D. Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or closely related Engineering discipline and five years of industrial experience preferred.
Professional registration is preferred.
