Nominations and applications are sought for the position of Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department with an anticipated starting date of August 2010. Candidates should demonstrate leadership and management ability, be committed to sustained excellence in undergraduate and graduate education and research, have demonstrable achievements in engineering education and scholarly research, and qualify for tenure at the rank of professor.
The ECE Department offers BS degrees in Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering, MS and ME degrees in Electrical Engineering, and a PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. The department has 17 full time faculty, 229 undergraduate majors and 49 graduate students.
Clarkson University has established focus areas in biomedical and rehabilitation engineering, environment and energy, advanced materials (including biomaterials), computational engineering and informatics, and innovation and entrepreneurship. Centers supporting these interdisciplinary focus areas provide a critical mass of students and faculty to enable world-class research advances.
