Position Summary
- contribute to a growing effort to research and engage with Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) at UB.
- function as part researcher, part DEI practitioner, as the researcher works directly with the Associate Dean for Equity and Inclusion to study and implement initiatives for addressing inequities and building towards inclusion across SEAS.
- design and implement their own initiative tied to JEDI work.
This postdoctoral researcher will be expected to work directly with students, faculty, and staff and should have experience with JEDI work. Specialists in anti-racism, inclusive pedagogy, participatory design, and community-engaged research are particularly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications
- PhD required; focus of PhD is flexible, but might include: engineering education, rhetoric and writing, african american studies, sociology, or social work.
- Experience in managing and developing research projects and/or DEI initiatives in higher education.
