We are looking for PhD students in the Mechanical Engineering or Biological Design Program at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. The currently available collaborative projects are funded by the Office of Naval Research with emphases on
"Dynamic behavior of biological systems for blunt injury and wound healing mechanisms".
The position will start from Spring 2021. During these projects, the candidates will work with leading biologists, material scientists, electrical and mechanical engineers at both ASU as well as US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to overcome critical barriers in the combined theoretical and experimental investigations of complex biological systems at different length scales from subcellular characterization to cell damage at cell population levels.
