Assistant or Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering
The University of Mary invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Mechanical Engineering to begin fall 2019. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank; advanced degree is required by time of employment.
The successful candidate will serve as a faculty in the Engineering Program, which includes teaching courses and advising engineering students. Candidates should be able to develop and teach upper level Mechanical Engineering courses and corresponding labs, with the ability to teach a variety of fundamental Engineering courses.
Required qualifications include:
Applicants must excel in teaching at the undergraduate level, demonstrate evidence of supporting student formation outside of the classroom, and have an active research agenda.
Advanced degree required by the time of employment, Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Uphold and promote the Christian, Catholic, Benedictine mission of the University of Mary.
Support the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae, the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities.
Build a culture of ready and earnest hospitality in the Office of Academic Affairs and throughout the university in accord with Saint Benedict’s admonition that all be received as Christ.
