The David Crawford School of Engineering of Norwich University invites applications for a full time, non-tenure track position as a Lecturer in Electrical and Computer Engineering beginning in July 2022. The initial contract is for the 2022-23 academic year and is renewable based on satisfactory performance review.

The successful applicant will have the ability to teach courses in the following subject areas: Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Introduction to Engineering.  Preference will be given to candidates who can teach a broad range of subject areas, and who can teach both lecture and laboratory courses.

Responsibilities include teaching of undergraduate circuits, programming and introduction to engineering courses.  In addition, the position will involve the management and enhancement laboratory facilities, advising students, serving on department level committees, or other related duties.


Required Qualifications:

BS and MS in Engineering, and either a PhD in Engineering or at least five years engineering-related experience in industry, armed forces, or government.

Expertise in Electrical and Computer Engineering and General Engineering.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses and lab sessions.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated effective teaching experience.

Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment.

Relevant industrial and practical experience.

Experience with development of industry contacts.

Professional registration.
