The Quantum Science and Engineering Centre (QSec) which was launched by NTU, aims to develop devices and technologies powered by quantum science - the study of how particles behave at the atomic level. The centre, the first of its kind in Singapore, will conduct research on developing and producing quantum chips using semiconductor fabrication technologies. These chips form the backbone of quantum devices and hold important applications in many areas such as quantum computing, communication, cryptography, cybersecurity, and sensor technology.
We are looking for a Research Assistant to provide support for the research project in the field of Quantum Sovereignty and Resilience. The Research Assistant will contribute to various aspects of the research process, with a focus on ensuring efficient use of grant funds, maintaining compliance with research protocols, and facilitating the progression of research activities in line with grant requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Support QSec researchers in the development and testing of quantum communication protocols and technologies.

Contribute to the drafting of research reports, academic papers, and proposals related to quantum communication.

Ensure project is well-managed to facilitate the progression of research activities in line with grant/project requirements.

Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure they align with grant timelines.

Assist in organizing and executing research-related events, including industry seminars, academic colloquia, and conferences, ensuring smooth logistics and effective engagement for participants.
Job Requirements:
-
Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Engineering or Sciences degree preferred)

Strong foundational knowledge in Quantum Cryptanalysis, Post-quantum Cryptography (PQC), Side-channel Leakage Resilient and Fault-tolerant PQC Accelerators, Quantum Key Distribution Systems, Quantum-safe Communication, Privacy-preserving Computing, and Post-quantum Data Security, among other relevant domains.

Proven experience in Quantum communications experiments or simulation of quantum systems.

Excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills.

Ability to work both as a team-member among multiple stakeholders and as an individual.
