POWER SYSTEMS - DISTRIBUTED ENERGY RESOURCES

 

Work description

1) Development of workflows to complement data sets from connected data spaces, to improve data analytics outcomes (forecasts, financial tool analysis, predictive maintenance and operation optimization)

2) Performing analysis on storage related models and development of forecast models to show against a baseline, the improvement of the assessed tools when integrating third party data (from connected data spaces).

3) Validate the developed methodologies on real data and real demonstration sites, in particular the existing use cases part of the InterStore project.

4) Dissemination of the work in international journals and/or conferences

Minimum profile required

  • Academic background in electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics, industrial engineering or similar (PhD student or finished Masters)
  • Programming knowledge in Python
  • Fluent in English

Preference factors

  • Past experience (or academic background) with energy data analytics;
  • Experience with simulation techniques that model the behavior of individual agents (organizations or people), and their interactions in a system;
  • Academic background experience and research oriented
Maintenance stipend: € 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
