The Center for Natural Resources (CNR) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) http://cnr.njit.edu has an immediate opening for multiple postdoc positions in modeling water flow and solute transport using both physically based models and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning. The position is offered on the Main Campus of NJIT in Newark, 20 minutes from downtown New York City. The salary is very competitive.

The qualified candidate would have a PhD in Environmental, Mechanical or Civil Engineering, and be able to use AI to address data and water simulations. They can use existing programs or programs that they develop. They need to have a demonstrated ability in writing articles for publication in top journals, to possess excellent communication skills to mentor graduate students, and to interact with scientists/engineers in other fields.
