The Department of Mechanical, Industrial & Aerospace Engineering seeks an outstanding candidate for a tenure-track position in Aerospace Engineering. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level may also be considered. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or similar engineering disciplines with a PhD degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering or in a closely related area. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to the supervision of MASc and PhD students, and to excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The incumbent will be required to contribute to teaching in the area of aerospace design. Industrial experience will be a definite asset. She/he will conduct independent scholarly research, attract strong external funding and demonstrate industrial application of their research activities. Eligibility for certification as a Professional Engineer in Quebec or in another Canadian province is essential. The language of instruction at Concordia is English; however, knowledge of French is an asset.
