Desirable Experience:   

Candidates should have good knowledge in Power Electronics and Electrical Vehicles.  Hands on experience in developing and working on hardware prototype of Power electronics converters and motor controller.

Essential Qualification   

M.Tech/M.E. in Electrical Engineering (Specialization- Power Electronics, Machines, Drives & Control).  Candidates who have qualified GATE is preferred

Desirable Experience     

Candidates should have good knowledge in design and development of BLDC, PMSM, SynRM and SRM and associated control circuits for electric mobility. Strong understanding and experience in electromagnetics designs, magnetic circuits, multiphase motors, and building prototypes for all traction motors.

Additional Skill-set required       

  • Electromagnetic FEA of Motor Design.
  • Thermal Model Design.
  • Motor simulation and modelling using Altair/ JMAG/ Motor cad/ Maxwell/ Speed or equivalents.
  • Model creation and analysis, 2D & 3D FEA model setup and running, critical analysis and communication of the results, correlation to test results, and summary analysis, design option selection and implementations.
  • Vector Control and Field Control.
  • Motor Test Methods.
  • Fundamental of Power Electronics

  • Knowledge in inverter bus bar design.
  • Familiarity in Execution of all Cell and Battery Pack testing activities
  • Familiarity in validating the thermal performance at cell level, pack level and vehicle level.
  • Knowledge in Battery Management Systems.
  • Analysing, interpreting and condensing technical data into reports or presentations.

  • Battery stacking, SoC and SoH estimation techniques and BMS modelling.
  • Motor control for design and modelling Induction motor, SRM and BLDC etc. Controllers:
  • FOC, DTC, MPC and Artificial Intelligence based on controllers such as ANN and ML.
  • Smart grids Vehicle grid interaction, Wide area monitoring protection and control, Real-time Simulation of power systems, Hardware/Controller-in-loop simulations.

Additional Skill-set required    

  • MATLAB/Simulink , Spice (LTSpice or PSPice) and Multisim
  • Schematic, PCB layout, BOM creation in Orcad/ Altium
  • Firmware coding on a DSP (Embedded C)
  • Thermal design using Ansys/ SolidWorks
  • Busbar design using Ansys/ Maxwell
  • Wireless coils and magnetics design using Ansys/ Maxwell or JMAG
  • Power Electronic converter design, fabrication, and testing

  • Strong written and Spoken English skill mandatory
