Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform managerial duties for the purpose of assisting the Center Director of an externally funded Department of Defense Center of Excellence
Develop proposals for externally funded contracts to expand the Center
Work with the Department of Defense to expand the funding of the Center
Provide cost estimates for new contracts
Assist in the planning and implementing of activities related to the External Advisory Committee
Assist in the development and strengthening of contacts in industry and the government
Report to the Center Director on a regular basis on progress, challenges, concerns, etc.
Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports and the final report
Perform all other duties as assigned
BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and MS degree in engineering or a closely related discipline
Industry and/or government experience
Experience in managing government contracts
Aptitude for planning and budgeting project proposals
Strong supervisory and management skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Working computer knowledge and experience
Strong organizational skills that are detail-oriented
Commensurate with education, training, and experience: Salary is contingent upon outside funding.
