The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for visiting and regular faculty positions at the assistant, associate or full professor level commencing in Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 Semester. The visiting faculty positions are primarily focused on teaching. Successful candidates for the regular positions will be expected to establish high-level, active research programs supported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting position is a one-year renewable contract and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract.
The applicant is required to have a PhD in Computer Engineering/Computer Science or a closely related field and show evidence of a significant teaching portfolio. Excellence in teaching and research, in addition to experience in the American model of higher education are highly desirable.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is one the fastest growing departments at AUS. It has approximately 650 undergraduate students, 30 graduate students, 15 full-time faculty and 7 lab instructors. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Master of Science in Computer Engineering.
