The Department of Architectural Engineering within the College of Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking applications for the position of Instructor. Candidates must possess a Master's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate a strong background in Building Construction, proficiency in Building digital modeling, and previous experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Desired competencies include expertise with contemporary software tools relevant to the field. The ability to teach undergraduate courses along excellent communication skills are essential.
Prior teaching, industrial, and professional experience are highly advantageous for this position. Candidates with experience in architectural education, industry, or professional practice will be given preference. Specifically, we are seeking candidates with a strong background in building construction methods. Ideal candidates will have practical knowledge and expertise in various construction techniques, materials, and technologies used in architectural practice. They should be able to effectively integrate theoretical concepts with real-world applications in the teaching of architectural engineering. Additionally, familiarity with current industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to building construction is desirable.
Experience and skill with contemporary software (Revit, BIM etc.) appropriate to the specialization will be highly desirable. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Experience in/strong commitment to engineering education including but not limited to, curriculum, and pedagogical approach development.
