We are looking for a creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and qualified postdoctoral researcher to work on modeling and simulations for metallic additive manufacturing. This postdoc will collaborate with research scientists from Ansys and Professor Rui Huang from the University of Texas at Austin.
Qualifications: Applicants must have background in modeling and numerical simulations for manufacturing process or computational solid mechanics. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. Highly self-motivated individuals who have demonstrated the ability to conduct independent scientific research successfully are desirable. Preference will be given to those applicants with strong backgrounds in additive manufacturing, cold spray, laser material interactions, or metallurgy. Previous experience in thermal expansion, machine learning or meshfree numerical methods is a plus.
