Manipulation of flexible objects through AI
Work description
- January to march.
- Collaboration in writing a scientific article reviewing the state of the art in the field of work April.
- Study of suitable simulators and applicable libraries May to July..
- Implementation of flexible object simulations, including simulated 3D perception August to November.
- Implementation of advanced perception and manipulation using and comparing techniques with and without AI December.
- Code organization and documentation and technical report writing.
Academic Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering
Minimum profile required
- Being a PhD student in IT or a related field.
- Experience with robotic perception and manipulation.
- Experience in Robotic Operating System (ROS).
- Point Cloud Library (PCL) experience.
- AI expertise
Preference factors
- Scientific publications.
- Collaboration on projects in the area Teaching or having taught in the area of ??robotics in a Higher Education institution(s).
Maintenance stipend: € 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
