The J. Mike Walker ’66 Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, open-rank academic professional track (non-tenured) position at the instructional assistant professor, instructional associate professor, or instructional professor level, with a 9-month academic appointment, and the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon need and availability of funds, beginning Fall 2024.
The successful applicant will be required to teach undergraduate mechanical engineering courses related to manufacturing, materials processing, and mechanical behavior of materials, including laboratory courses. Applicants will be expected to conduct research on materials and manufacturing-related topics under the guidance of senior faculty members. The successful applicant is expected to participate in all aspects of the department’s activities and serve the profession.
