Research Faculty Positions at the Florida Center for Advanced Aero-Propulsion
Florida Center for Advanced Aero-Propulsion (FCAAP) at FAMU-FSU College of Engineering seeks up to two outstanding individuals for research faculty position. FCAAP houses low- and high-speed (Polysonic) wind tunnels, jet facilities, advanced flow diagnostics, and high-performance computational resources. FCAAP has a collaborative and collegial work environment and a strong dedication to diversity and excellence in research and education.
Exceptional candidates with interests in experimental aerodynamics and flow diagnostics will be considered. Areas of particular interest include, but are not limited to, cavity flows, shock-boundary layer interactions, flow control, Particle Image Velocimetry, Pressure Sensitive Paints and other laser-based diagnostics. The candidates will be expected to work on individual projects as well as participate in group projects.
The successful candidates must be professionally trained in aerospace or mechanical engineering and hold a Ph.D. from an accredited institution at the time of employment. The candidates must demonstrate his/her research experience through published papers and research citations. Any experience with proposal writing will be an added advantage. The successful candidates must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
