Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) is the premiere university in the small oil-rich Brunei. Established in 1985 to fulfill the educational needs of the nation, UBD currently employs approximately 500 faculty members of which 51% are international. Faculty of Integrated Technologies emphasizes a quality design centric, broad-based engineering education with an innovative curriculum. The undergraduate GenNext engineering curriculum has been developed through collaborative works with world leading technological universities and is ABET accredited.
The faculty is looking for Assistant Professor level applicants to support the undergraduate Manufacturing Systems concentration of the General Engineering Program and the postgraduate Dual-Degree Program in Industrial Engineering with Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. Applicants must have a recent doctorate (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university. Having a solid background in modern aspects of Industrial and Automation engineering with a focus on related aspects of IR4.0 is a must. Preference will be given to those who have prior proven academic and research experience in Production Planning and Control, Data Driven Manufacturing, Smart Factory with IT/OT convergence, Industrial Internet of Things and/or AI driven automation. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in teaching and supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students, program development, research, and administration. Candidates who have achieved or have the potential to achieve international recognition in their field with demonstrated track record of research success and experience in teaching in the above-mentioned fields are encouraged to apply.
