Job Description

The Department of Electrical and Communication Engineering in the College of Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in Electrical Engineering or related field. The successful candidate will utilize artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to accelerate the design of novel methods related to embedded systems and sensor fusion. Candidates must have earned a PhD and BSc. in Electrical Engineering. The candidate is expected to establish a sustainable research program, make significant scholarly contributions to the discipline, be an effective teacher and mentor of both undergraduate and graduate students, and engage in institutional and professional service. Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. Minimum Qualification

A Ph.D. degree from a reputable international university in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to accelerate the design of novel methods related to embedded systems and sensor fusion. 1) Demonstrated record of publications in leading international scientific journals in the area of Electrical and Computer Engineering. 2) Ability to develop and secure sponsored research that involves both undergraduate and graduate students; 3) Ability to teach a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses and develop new courses or course components 4) Strong communication skills and the ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies,. 5) Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualification

Priority will be given to candidates with experience in the application of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in the area of embedded systems and sensors fusion.

Expected Skills

All ranks will be considered, priority is given to assistant professor rank with proven credentials. Only PhD holders from well-reputed universities will be considered. Applications with incomplete information will be discarded
