Computer Science Engineering - APIs developer

Work description

• Identify and select the physical models that will serve as the basis for developing the energy consumption models;
• Development of the algorithms that will allow the modelling of the consumption of the different assets and equipment that support the ports' logistics activities,
• Python implementation of the developed algorithms,
• Supporting the integration of the modules developed into energy management platforms and tools for ports,
• Prepare a scientific report on activities and write scientific articles.

Minimum profile required

• Basic knowledge of energy systems, namely demand models for different sectors and integration with decarbonized energy vectors;
• Knowledge of the Python programming language, or similar;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken);

Preference factors

• Experience in developing energy consumption models for different sectors;
• Programming experience in Python, or similar;
• Knowledge of decarbonization plans at European and national level.

Maintenance stipend: € 990,98 or 1259,64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend. INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".

The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
