The Department of Computer Science (http://cs.uncc.edu) at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) seeks candidates for multiple tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The Department is particularly interested in candidates with theoretical, applied, or transdisciplinary research interests in:
Computing systems, particularly exploring the intersections of computer architecture, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, and distributed systems.
Data science, including the areas of data curation, deep learning, data mining, data provenance, and computing theory.
Artificial intelligence systems, human-AI collaboration, machine learning, robotics, and computer vision.
Candidates must hold Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline, and possess a record that demonstrates excellence (or the strong potential for excellence) in research and teaching. The Department seeks candidates of integrity, with high ethical standards, and who are innovative, collegial, and collaborative.

Situated within the College of Computing and Informatics, the Department is home to over 2,000 students in B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. programs. Current research and teaching strengths of 40+ faculty include: visualization; visual and data analytics; natural language processing and sociolinguistics; AI and machine learning; cyber-physical systems; networks; edge, cloud, and high-performance computing; software engineering; robotics; image processing and computer vision; intelligent systems; and, CS education.
