A graduate research assistantship (GRA) is available for a Spring or Summer 2024 semester start date in geotechnical engineering at Villanova University. The topic of the research project is rockfall hazard monitoring. The research project will include aspects of LiDAR scanning, field testing, spatial analysis, and modelling.
The position is expected to be filled by a Ph.D. student. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the project’s experimental and modelling tasks, manage and mentor a team of undergraduate students, and present results of the work at national conferences. The GRA must work well independently and as part of a research team, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
