The College of Engineering is seeking applicants to fill a tenure- track position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with experience in Fracture Mechanics, Composite Materials, and/or Metallurgy. Duties include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, supervising master students and conducting a vigorous self-reliant research program.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of solid mechanics, design, and materials as assigned
- Advise undergraduate and graduate students
- Conduct research in the field of specialization
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; and a Ph.D. in Mechanical/ Materials Engineering
- Experience in securing funded basic and applied research is desired
- Industrial experience is desired
