The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Memphis invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in transportation beginning as soon as possible in the broader area of technology-enhanced shared transportation systems, autonomous and connected vehicles, and autonomous last-mile deliveries. Other areas of research include but not limited to are impact of technology on traffic safety and operations. Outstanding candidates with expertise in related areas will also be considered. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Sabya Mishra and Dr. Mihalis Golias on projects related to transportation demand modeling, planning, and operations (both on passenger and freight). There will also be opportunity to work with other faculty members from Center for Transportation Innovations in Education and Research (C-TIER). Salary is extremely competitive and includes full benefits. The appointment period will be for 12 months initially with possibility of extension to the second year based on performance.
