Management of hospital partnerships, data collection and analysis in the field of neurological diseases
Work description
INESC TEC's Biomedical Engineering Research Center (C-BER) has been establishing partnerships with several hospitals to advance research in the field of neurology, collecting data that is extremely important for the group's scientific advances in the diagnosis and follow-up of neurological diseases.
This scholarship aims to have the candidate be one of the people in charge of the clinical studies that are going on, carrying out the data collection protocols and managing and analyzing the data.
Academic Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or similar fields.
Minimum profile required
- Previous experience in data collection in clinical settings and in the use of medical technologies, as well as laboratory prototypes.
- Knowledge of signal processing techniques in the field of neuroengineering.
Preference factors
- Previous participation in data collection in a clinical setting, preferably with patients with Parkinson's disease.
Maintenance stipend: € 1309.64, according to the table of monthly maintenance stipend for FCT grants , paid via bank transfer. Grant holders may be awarded potential supplements, according to a quarterly evaluation process (Articles 19, 21 and 22 of the Regulations for Grants of INESC TEC and Annex II), up to a maximum limit of 50% of the monthly maintenance stipend.
INESC TEC supports costs with registration, enrolment or tuition fees, during the grant duration, under the terms established in the internal document: "Payment of Tuition fees to grant holders".
The grant holder will benefit from health insurance, supported by INESC TEC.
