Job Description Summary
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in the field of computer engineering beginning with the Fall 2024 semester. The individual selected for this position will be expected to contribute to the growth of the computer engineering program, collaborate with faculty on a number of interdisciplinary research projects, secure research funding and teach courses in the computer engineering area.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or a closely related field at the time employment begins. Priority will be given to candidates specializing in the core hardware areas of Computer Engineering. Excellent communication skills are required. The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the term of employment.
Desired Qualifications
In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the potential to 1) excel as a teacher in both undergraduate and graduate courses, 2) secure funding to support a research program, 3) mentor graduate students, and 4) publish research results in the appropriate scholarly outlets.
