The department of Mechanical Engineering provides a BS in Mechanical and Energy Engineering which prepares students for a career in the ever-growing fields of energy and sustainability. Undergraduates who choose to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical and energy engineering will combine fundamentals of mechanical engineering with a broad specialization on subjects related to energy production, management, and distribution. For graduate students, our programs will offer opportunities to learn fundamental and applied knowledge compatible with mechanical engineering, renewable energy, energy modelling, manufacturing, and fossil fuels.
Develop surface acoustic wave sensors for the measurement of pressure, temperature and gas concentration. Be able to fabricate IDT electrodes and piezoelectric thin films, perform SAW sensor modelling and experiments. Write academic articles and proposals.
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
